"PUSH" MAGAZINE COVER

This was a piece I created during some free time. I wanted to explore using contrasting colours and patterns to outline the key parts of a photo. The photo used is one I took of one of my close friends skateboarding. The initial photo editing was done via Photoshop. The process involved cutting the the subject from the original photo, and then identifying the key parts of the subject, and then arranging the colours and patterns accordingly. The word “PUSH” was added in via InDesign. The subject’s extended back leg lined up with the pushed-forward upper body, so the text was aligned to that phantom line.
