GUZMAN Y GOMEZ (LESS) GREASE MOVIE POSTER

I applied for a job as a graphic designer for healthy Mexican fast food chain Guzman Y Gomez. During the interview, the head of marketing and the senior designer mentioned that they really liked my movie poster mock up illustrations, so I decided to illustrate a couple based on Guzman Y Gomez. Unfortunately they found someone better suited for the role. But they really loved the illustrations I did for them and I enjoyed working on them too. I chose to do "Grease", as GYG's one of their campaigns is "why does fast food have to be bad food?". I incorporated their branding (the bright yellow and rich black) along with their font as well. I illustrated two versions, one where it was more reflective of the actual movie poster, and another where I used the Guzman and Gomez from the logo as the stars of the movie. With the second option I had to do a bit of research to find out which one was Guzman and which one was Gomez. I also found out that they aren't real people.
